yoga philosophy

Yoga is a way of life.

It focuses the mind and strips the outside world away & provides the tools to better deal with that outside world. I am hoping to inspire others, enough for them to fall in love with the very same thing i did 11years ago…i hope to be a vessel, to have information which i can share and pass on to others so that they too, can do the same.

“Be Happy….Let Yourself Go…Let Yourself LIVE”

Thinking back to the way i was before yoga, and all i can remember are feelings of incompleteness, something was always missing, this constant search for happiness and ultimately, being unhappy because i was constantly searching for it…but not knowing how to go about finding it or where to look. I was also never satisfied, i had the typical ‘the grass is greener’ syndrome, this also didn’t help with my search.

I have always been a very happy and optimistic person, someone with a very strong sense of fairness and justice….which would perhaps explain why i connected with the Yamas & Nyamas (ethical & moral codes of Yoga), i got them, they made sense to me.

“Live Everyday…Love Everyday…Dance As If No One Is Looking”

I am a big believer in that if you think positive, then positive things will happen, you also attract positive people and the same goes with negative thoughts, they breed more negative thoughts and actions. It is very important to love one self. We need to learn to love ourselves first, before we can love and care for others….in
airplanes they always say that we need to put our own oxygen masks on before helping others…what is true on a practical airplane-way, is also true in everyday life.

Yoga teaches you to be kind to yourself, to listen to your body…it’s an amazing practice which allows you to let go of all the weight, and luggage, stress and tension accumulated, looking inwards and really seeing what is important.

“Do Onto Others, As You Would Onto Yourself”

Happiness is within us, it’s inside each and every one of us…it always has been, we were just too busy looking that we didn’t see what was right under our nose!
It’s things like this that yoga makes you realize – it opens your eyes, creates peace of mind, stillness to see, to really see…

…and as Sri K Pattabi Jois once said….‘Practice and all is coming’
